While your first thought when thinking of our authentic New England Barn might be to entertain in autumn, the springtime has proven to be extraordinary beautiful. Carrianne and Mark did a terrific job decorating and bringing the colors of spring into their wedding.

It's feeling like spring at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills!

Lindsay and Patrick enjoyed a small intimate wedding at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills this weekend. Their beautiful fabric and bright colors gave a much needed spring feel to the Barns at Wesleyan Hills ... welcome spring and congratulations Lindsay and Patrick!

Congratulations "Cowboy J"!

Congratulations to "Cowboy J" and his entire family! We were honored to host his Bar Mitzvah celebration at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills on Saturday, April 4th ... and what a celebration it was! We had everything .... right down to the mechanical bull! Cowboy J's Mom is an accomplished event planner in her own right and did an incredible job .... I am honored to have now catered a second event for her family!

Soup Station included Vegan Chili, Chili Con Carne and Roasted Chicken and Tortilla Soup and was very popular on a chilly early April evening.

Loved the table numbers with the customized brand .... we used the branding iron to brand our artists palette, the slider buns and just about anything else we could find!

These wine barrells came right from Stonington Vineyard ... while they made fine cocktail tables, I imagine emptying them was the best part

Traci got the rare treat of "ringing the dinner bell" to invite guests to sit for dinner, a meal that included at duet entree featuring Texas Braised Beef Short Rib and Rum Soaked Fillet of Salmon.

As you might imagine, no BBQ would be complete without a selection of margaritas!

And I thought it would be difficult to get the staff into character ... I was wrong!

Yes, we did have a mechanical bull, provided by Boppers Entertainment ... and yes, it was every bit a much fun as it looks!

Note the 50 inch plasma tv's below .... if we could only figure out a way to have the UCONN Final Four game on .... hmmmm
